Best Buy uses a queue-based system for high-demand drops with account verification, meaning you need verified Best Buy accounts to even enter the queue. Their anti-bot measures have gotten significantly tighter over the past couple of years, including email verification loops, CAPTCHA challenges, and address validation. Success on Best Buy requires patience, good accounts, and the right proxy setup.

Basic Information

Drop Time

Drops typically happen between 9AM-12PM ET, with most major console and GPU restocks hitting around 9:15AM or 10AM ET. Best Buy occasionally does surprise restocks in the afternoon (2PM-4PM ET) or even evenings. Follow restock monitors on Twitter/X and Discord for real-time alerts because Best Buy does not always announce exact times in advance.

Keywords

Use direct product SKUs and URLs rather than keyword searches. Best Buy product pages use SKU numbers (e.g., 6426149 for a PS5). Monitor Best Buy's product pages and use stock monitoring tools to detect when "Add to Cart" buttons go live. Product URLs are stable, so save them in advance.

Recaptcha

Best Buy uses a queue system combined with CAPTCHA challenges during checkout. You will encounter both standard CAPTCHA and sometimes SMS/email verification on your account. Delays

Monitor delay: 3000-5000ms. Retry delay: 5000-7500ms. Best Buy rate-limits aggressive requests, so going too fast will get your sessions banned. Slower, steady polling is more effective than hammering their servers.

Task to Profile Ratio

1 task per verified Best Buy account. Each account needs unique email verification, address, and payment info. Running multiple tasks on the same account will result in all of them failing or getting cancelled.

Desktop to Mobile Ratio

80/20 desktop to mobile. Best Buy's checkout is primarily designed for desktop and bots handle it more reliably in desktop mode. Some users report success with mobile user agents for getting through the queue, but desktop checkout completion rates are higher.

Profile Setup

Name

Use real names that match your payment method. Best Buy verifies billing info against the card on file. Mismatched names trigger fraud flags and cancellations.

Use unique cards per account. Best Buy flags duplicate card numbers across different accounts. Privacy.com virtual cards, prepaid Visa gift cards (where accepted), and multiple bank cards all help diversify. Best Buy gift cards can be combined with a regular card and are useful for spreading payment across methods.

Cancel Information

Best Buy cancellations happen in waves, usually within 24-48 hours of a drop. They flag orders with matching addresses, payment info, or accounts that showed bot-like behavior during checkout. Orders placed through banned proxies or flagged accounts get cancelled first. If your order makes it past the 48-hour mark and moves to "Preparing" status, it is usually safe. In-store pickup orders are less likely to get cancelled but require valid ID matching the order name.
